Battery Performance

How well do Green Marine Lithium batteries perform on Garmin Kraken trolling motors?

Reported use includes up to 17 hours over multiple sessions using approximately 16Ah. Customers report extremely low Ah consumption across extended trips, with charter operators running 36V 120Ah systems daily under load without faulting.

How long will a Green Marine Lithium 24V 80Ah last in real fishing conditions?

Reported use includes full-day sessions across 3 consecutive days before requiring recharge. Customers report strong multi-day runtime depending on conditions and load.

Can I run both a trolling motor and electronics at the same time?

Reported use includes 5-hour sessions running a trolling motor alongside large displays, Livescope and lighting, using approximately 10Ah (36V) and 30Ah (12V). Customers report reliable long-term combined system performance.

What runtime can I expect from a 12V 200Ah battery?

Recorded use includes over 27 hours on the water with multiple electronics running, using approximately 46% capacity. Customers report extended runtime under load.

How does a 12V 80Ah perform on a small boat?

Reported use includes approximately 6 hours on a 55lb motor followed by rapid recharge. Customers report consistent performance on smaller vessels.

Can these batteries handle offshore conditions?

Reported use includes up to 35 hours in strong offshore currents without recharging. Customers report stable performance under sustained load.

How many days can I get from a 36V 120Ah?

Reported use includes up to 5 full days before recharge depending on conditions. Customers report strong multi-day performance.

How long will a 36V 120Ah run a Garmin Kraken?

Reported use includes 10-hour sessions using approximately 9% capacity. Customers report extended runtime with low discharge.

Build, Compliance & Product

What type of lithium cells are used?

LiFePO₄ prismatic cells correctly rated to deliver true Ah capacity, protected by a BMS and temperature sensors.

Are these batteries Australian made?

Yes. All Green Marine Lithium batteries are Australian Made and tested in Australia.

What makes Green Marine Lithium different?

Certified Australian Made, IP67 waterproof, IEC 62619 compliant, and built to exceed AS/NZS 3001 & 3004 using true-capacity LiFePO₄ cells.

Our batteries are built with correctly rated cells and designed to be serviceable. Imported lithium batteries use undersized cells so you never get the true capacity advertised and they’re throw away items that cannot be recharged or serviced.

Are your batteries repairable?

Yes. Unlike imported lithium batteries, our systems are built to be serviceable and repairable in Australia.

All work is subject to assessment under our Return Authorisation process.

Do you offer custom builds?

Yes. We supply standard systems and custom builds for marine, off-grid, transport and emergency applications.

Not sure what you need?

Send us your setup and what you’re running. We’ll tell you what works.

Battery Troubleshooting

My battery has gone flat (over-discharged). What should I do?

If your battery is fully discharged, please contact us with your invoice or proof of purchase and a brief description of the issue.

Lithium batteries are classified as Dangerous Goods and must be packed and transported correctly for any return.

If you would like technical support before arranging a return, email info@greenmarinelithium.com with photos of your battery, installation, wiring, and charging setup.

Assessment timeframes vary. If a battery is found to be non-warranty (including over-discharge), labour and freight charges may apply.

App Troubleshooting

I’m having trouble connecting to the GML App. What should I do?

First check:

  • The latest version of the GML BMS App is installed
  • Your device is not connected to other Bluetooth devices during setup

If you are still unable to connect, email info@greenmarinelithium.com with:

  • Clear photos of the battery in your setup (including wiring and charger)
  • A short screen recording showing your connection attempt

Warranty & Returns

Do you replace batteries before testing?

As the manufacturer, our batteries are assessed under our Return Authorisation process before any warranty determination is made.

Why is my battery cutting out early?

Most cases relate to installation, charging, or system setup rather than battery failure. All returned batteries are assessed to determine cause before any outcome is confirmed.

What is not covered under warranty?

Conditions such as over-discharge, incorrect charging, installation faults, or system setup issues are not warranty.

How do I return a battery?

All returns must be approved in advance under a Return Authorisation (RA). Once approved, we arrange compliant Dangerous Goods freight and provide packing instructions.

Will I be charged for a return?

If a battery is found to be non-warranty, labour and Dangerous Goods freight charges may apply.
